Memorie in movimento: Genova 2001

Curated by Giulia Simi

Twenty-five years after the G8 summit in Genoa, Archivio Aperto revisits the memories of those days, the images and words of the so-called “no-global” movement. From Solo limoni by “video artivist” Giacomo Verde, which reflects on the poetic forms of militant documentary filmmaking, to a round-table discussion with historians, filmmakers and journalists on practices and methods for studying, preserving and recounting an experience shaped entirely from the bottom up, marked by the trauma of repression yet filled with the vital energy of those who looked at the world upside down and dreamed of “another world being possible.”
