Curated by Giulia Simi.
In collaboration with Biblioteca Amilcar Cabral.
L’archivio che non c’è is the festival section curated in collaboration with Bologna’s Amilcar Cabral Library, was created to bring attention to archives that have always been difficult to access—because of erasure, poor preservation, deliberate destruction, or simply because fragments of memory have never been able to become an archive.
Taking an intersectional approach, the section explores how lived experiences are marginalised and struggle to find a place in public narratives of memory—whether because of geographic or socioeconomic background, or gender.
This year, the section hosts the documentary A Place in the Italian Sun by Sarah Nouvellon and Menelik Nouvellon, in collaboration with the association From Oblivion to Memory.
