Inspired by the thought of Gertrude Stein, *Sirius Remembered* is a film that captures the gradual decomposition—over the course of several months—of the carcass of Sirius, the Brakhage family dog. The film is divided into three parts: the first shows Sirius’s body relatively intact; the second is set in winter, when the body is covered in snow; and the third shows the decay during the spring thaw.
