Synopsis

C’est Fou is not a succession of carefully chosen advertising photographs. C’est Fou is something else: a discovery, a fresh look at something we thought we knew. Here, each photograph retains all its power whilst acquiring a new one, through the film’s rhythms and associations… C’est Fou is perhaps more than a beautiful object that seduces us, but what greater pleasure is there than seduction?

Biography

Unglee (born 1954) made a name for himself in the late 70s with his experimental films and in the 80s with his photographs of Tulips. Parallel to his exhibitions, he has also appeared in art magazines, publishing his Disparitions, which tell the story of his life and his lifelong passion for tulips. These works, at the confluence of language and the visual arts, exude an ironic wit and grating elegance, even as they put his oft-repeated death in abyme.
