Boucles-Loops

Before I owned a camera, I studied a series of visual effects using projections of loops created with a clear 16 mm film leader, a hole puncher, and a permanent marker. […] [These experiments] were the basis for my films, edited in camera frame by frame. […]. After two decades and numerous screenings, which made these loops increasingly difficult to project, I recorded and transferred a small selection (a series of four loops) to a single film.
