Bring the Archive into the World: announced the winners of the first international competition dedicated to works made with archival materials as part of the 15th edition of Archivio Aperto.
Bouba Touré and Raphaël Grisey’s Crossing Voices (France/Germany, 2022), Maryam Tafakory’s Nazarbazi (Iran/UK, 2022) and Carl Elsaesser’s Home When you Return (USA, 2021) are the winners of the first international competition dedicated to found footage works, made with archival materials, as part of the 15th edition of Archivio Aperto, the event of Home Movies – Archivio Nazionale del Film di Famiglia in Bologna dedicated to the rediscovery of private and experimental film heritage. This was decreed by the official jury composed of filmmakers Alina Marazzi and Courtney Stephens and Cinémathèque française programming manager Pauline de Raymond.
