Applications are open from 9 July to 20 August 2026 for the Archivio Aperto Young Jury, open to young people aged 18 to 26 with a passion for cinema, archives, documentary film, visual culture, and the preservation and promotion of film heritage.
For the 2026 edition, the Young Jury will be expanded into two separate panels. A total of 20 participants will be selected and divided into two groups of 10, dedicated respectively to the International Competition and the Open Frame Competition. Guided by a tutor, the jurors will award the prize for the best work in their respective competition, experiencing the festival from the inside while engaging with filmmakers and international experts.
To apply, candidates must complete the dedicated Google Form and upload their CV and a motivation letter by 20 August 2026. The results of the selection process will be announced by 5 September 2026.
Selected participants will receive a free festival pass, the official festival tote bag, and a guided tour of the Home Movies Foundation. Participants travelling from outside the Province of Bologna will also have access to discounted accommodation for the entire duration of the festival.
