Biography
Fascinated by visual storytelling and cinema, Camille Detry attended a preparatory school in Nîmes before enrolling at SATIS (the public higher education school of cinema in Marseille). She mainly focuses on screenwriting and directing, and often works as an assistant director on her friends’ projects. For her, the creative process takes on its full meaning when it is part of a collective impulse rooted in collaboration and sharing. In recent months, she has also explored different forms of creative expression, ranging from jewellery making and drawing to mixing.

Statement
They say that we dream plunging into the mind of Oli, former guinea pig of an experimental program aimed at preserving collective memory. Oli’s memory is a patchwork of souvenirs, dreams, and images that they compulsively ingested.
The images accompanying Oli’s narrative do not illustrate it: they saturate, blur, and haunt the character. Oli is stripped of their individuality, swallowed by this incessant flow.

The archives used in the film are all sourced from the Les Films du Soleil collection. They mostly consist of corporate films, news reports, newsreels, short films, as well as home movies and family films.
