A contingent of Italian explorers and scientists becomes lost in a vast, uncharted expanse of ice. After days of exhausting marches and impossible climbs, the team is forced to set up a base camp in the snow. The sun — which never sets — along with fear and cold, condemns them to a feverish insomnia. Worn down by frost and fatigue, many give up, but one of them, overwhelmed by a blind obsession, leaves the others to continue alone. Meanwhile, the mysterious inhabitants of the place watch him from afar.

Biography
Born and raised in Bari, Gabriele Armenise holds a degree in Modern Literature. He is currently a student at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Palermo and is passionate about environmental issues, as well as themes related to labor and social justice.
Vito Polito grew up between Italy and Germany. His journey into the world of cinema began at the age of 16 when he found himself on a film set for the first time, discovering a passion that would lead him to move to Berlin immediately after finishing high school. In the German capital, he continued to develop his professional experience by working for various production companies in the production and directing departments, as well as making three short films.
Since 2023, he has been living in Palermo, where he is furthering his artistic research by studying Documentary Directing at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia -Sede Sicilia.
Statement
In a world now marked by the relentless race for natural resources, the new, contemporary man seems willing to spread into every corner of the globe, even the most remote, only to exploit and colonize it. Dogma No. 3 reuses worn, corroded archival footage shot decades ago to portray a dystopian future already underway, where doctrines imposed by power have replaced rationality and the ideology of reckless conquest has supplanted that of peace. Water, a necessity for all, becomes the luxury of the new world, an indispensable trophy from which to found a new civilization built on unconditional faith and blind obedience. Inspired and shaped by a geopolitical context in constant implosion, the film draws from recent events, wagering a vision on the future that awaits us.
