Scorpio Rising

Immersing himself in the homoerotic world of motorcyclists, Anger focuses his camera on Scorpio (Bruce Byron), a biker who wears leather clothes and snorts methamphetamines. The central themes of the film include the occult, homosexuality, Christianity, and Nazism. Scorpio Rising also explores the cult of rebellious icons of the era, such as James Dean and Marlon Brando. Denigrated upon its release, it influenced an entire generation of filmmakers, from Martin Scorsese to David Lynch.
