A fairy tale about the unattainable (the Moon) that combines elements of Commedia dell’Arte with Japanese mythology. The protagonists are Pierrot (based on Aleister Crowley’s Tarot card of the Fool), Arlecchino, and Colombina. The latter, with the help of Arlecchino, torments poor Pierrot. The highly stylized movements of the actors, who were part of the avant-garde theater of the early 20th century, are reminiscent of Kabuki theater.
