An 8mm reel of a Hollywood western flickers to life once more. As the first call of the bugle rings out, the cavalry charges—swift and chaotic—while the film strains to keep pace. It ripples, trembles and tangles, caught in the chaos of gunfire and the thunder of galloping hooves.

Statement
In this short stop-motion animated essay, the 8mm film becomes both subject and surface — reacting to and interacting with the moving images previously inscribed on it. The violence and chaos of the battlefield disrupt the projection’s stability and clarity, blurring the line between medium and message.
