The 18th edition of Archivio Aperto hosts the Bologna premiere of Toni, mio padre, attended by its author Anna Negri: a personal, biographical, and autobiographical work in which the Venetian present, filmed by Stefano Savona, intertwines with interviews, home movies, photographs, and Anna’s own Super8 footage, shot from the age of sixteen onwards. These materials recount a personal story into which official History forcefully entered—evoked through television archives and newspaper headlines—while also narrating the relationship between father and daughter, a narrative device that brings to light universal themes such as the conflict between ideology and life, as well as between generations and genders.
